I don’t usually hate it when I’m right

I was pretty much resigned to the fact that I was going to have to ride the trainer for a bit or risk having the muffin top take over. I was correct re the physical therapist having some caveats when it came to riding with Achilles tendonitis. No standing on the pedals and no hills. Excuse me? No what? I knew there would be no mountain biking, but seriously where the hell am I going to ride if I can’t do hills. I would be too tempted to push it if I was on the Fuji or Specialized, and even the Diamondback could get me in trouble. I almost had myself dragging the trainer out of the closet when I realized there was one more option. Meet Elvis:

Elvis

Elvis and I had a lovely little stroll around the neighborhood; all of it flat. Strange looks from my neighbors be damned. Not my immediate neighbors, mind you, they are quite use to the antics that go on at my hacienda.

Ride stats

Distance: 1.2 miles
Temperature:  Humid.
Ride category: Must. Avoid. Trainer.
