What Is Cyclocross?

If you haven’t heard of this form of cycling, you really need to.  This article can help explain the basics of the sport, and why it’s so darn fun to watch a ‘cross race.  This is considered one of the fastest growing segments of cycling, especially here in the Northeast.  I think it’s because not only does it provide a a chance for competitve folks to stay competitive after the “regular” cycling season, but the courses are so tight and looping–it allows spectators to watch the action up close, personal, and for much longer periods of time.  So, fun to participate, fun to watch, just fun, fun, fun.  Check out your local ‘cross schedule and attend a race (bring the kids–they freak out they love it so much).  You’ll be glad you did!   –Karen
